Surgeons colleagues

Working well with both professional colleagues and patients is essential for surgeons. All surgeons can expect to work closely with nurses, therapists, other surgeons of all grades, anaesthetists, radiologists, pathologists, referring doctors, eg General Practitioners, administrative staff and many others.

Each of these colleagues performs an essential role in the eventual aim of aiding the patient’s treatment and the surgeon, whatever his or her grade, will be required to form functioning working relationships within a multidisciplinary environment.
