Guidance

Many women surgeons consider various alternative working patterns at some point in their career. There is information about many of these in the flexible working section.

You might also find it useful to contact some of the following websites:

  • The Medical Women’s Federation  - for information and guidance about a range of issues affecting women in all specialities
  • The BMA – for support about terms and conditions, contracts and employment
  • Doctors.net  - a series of discussion forums for colleagues to discuss a range of topics
  • Not just a surgeon – a forum for surgeons to discuss anything that affects their lives – whether directly related to surgery or not.
